GLENDALE John Elway Jersey White , Ariz. — Emmanuel Sanders threw and caught touchdown passes, Denver returned two interceptions for first-quarter touchdowns and the Broncos snapped a four-game losing streak with a 45-10 rout of the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night.Todd Davis returned rookie Josh Rosen‘s deflected pass for a touchdown on the second play of the game and Chris Harris Jr. took another back 53 yards for a score with 2:02 left in the quarter as the Broncos (3-4) opened a 21-3 lead.Rosen threw three interceptions and fumbled the ball away twice on a rough night that began badly for him and never got better. He limped off the field after he was sacked for the fifth time, on a fourth-and-16 play near the end of the game. The Cardinals (1-6), down 35-3 at the half, fell to 0-4 at home for the first time since 1979.Case Keenum completed 14 of 21 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown with one interception for Denver. Phillip Lindsay rushed for 90 yards on 14 carries, including a 28-yard TD run.Rosen had called a time out after the game’s first play. Then his pass was deflected by the outstretched hand of defensive end Derek Wolfe. The ball dropped into the hands of Davis, who ran it in from there.Arizona followed with a three-and-out and the Broncos quickly made it 14-0 with a six-play, 77-yard drive. Sanders took the ball on an end around and threw to a wide open Courtland Sutton 28 yards for the touchdown. The receiver may have run the wrong route on Rosen’s second “pick six.” In a third-and-one situation from the Arizona 46, Rosen passed but there was no one near the ball except Harris, who returned it 53 yards to make it 21-3.The Broncos made it 28-3 in the second quarter when Keenum found Harris wide open on a 64-yard TD play, the Denver receiver doing a front flip over the goal line.A pass interference play against Bene Benwikere in the end zone set up Royce Freeman‘s one-yard TD run that made it 35-3 with 21 seconds left in the half. The run capped a 15-play, 70-yard drive that used up 6:39.The Arizona fans booed as the team left the field for the half, while there were cheers from the sizable contingent of orange-clad Broncos supporters.FITZ SCORESThe Cardinals got their only touchdown in the third quarter, Rosen throwing four yards to Larry Fitzgerald for the score. Fitzgerald’s first TD catch of the season came at the end of an 11-play, 63-yard drive that followed Patrick Peterson‘s interception. Fitzgerald’s 111 career TDs tie him with Tony Gonzalez for seventh on the NFL’s career list.INJURIESArizona tight end Ricky Seals-Jones, trying to run down Rosen’s fumble, slammed his left forearm against an opponent’s helmet and didn’t return.UP NEXTCardinals host San Francisco on Oct. 28.Broncos vs Chiefs over the years Good morning, Broncos Country!Depending on the thickness of your orange and blue glasses, some Denver Broncos fans are dreading Monday night. The key question for me, as I talked about on my weekly segment with Michael Klahr and Mark Knudson on Saturday morning (my segment starts at 23:55 when you hear “Danger Zone”): Is what we saw in the Week Three loss to the Baltimore Ravens an anomaly or is that who the Broncos really are? At the very least, we’ll see how Denver responds to its first bout of adversity this season and do so against an opponent in the Kansas City Chiefs that is on fire right now (at least offensively). As Adam Malnati and I talked about on the latest MHR Radio Podcast, you know to expect the unexpected in rivalry games. And there is a path to victory for the Broncos ... even if that path is narrow. What could help Denver and Broncos Country get more fired up is the organization will honor 12 members of the Ring of Fame at halftime: Steve Atwater, Jason Elam, Randy Gradishar, Rich Jackson Womens Royce Freeman Jersey , Floyd Little, Karl Mecklenburg, Gene Mingo, Dennis Smith, Rod Smith, Billy Thompson, Rick Upchurch and Gary Zimmerman. Of course Atwater is there given his iconic hit on Christian Okoye. Speaking of that hit, if you haven’t listened to our interview with Steve on the podcast a few months ago, you should. It’s so good, and to hear him talk about that hit and what led up to it is worth the listen. But before the next chapter in this storied rivalry is written, let’s look back at the history between these two teams. Some of the greatest games and moments have taken place in this rivalry. There also is some things for Broncos fans to watch for on Monday night. All of this is courtesy of the team’s weekly release.Monday’s game in Denver marks the 116th regular-season game between the Broncos and Chiefs. Denver is 54-61-0 in those games — 35-23 at home; 19-38 on the road. The first game was Oct. 30, 1960, at Bears Stadium. The Dallas Texans beat the Broncos 17-14.The last game played between the Broncos and Chiefs brought a merciful end to the 2018 season, with KC winning 27-24 in Denver. The Broncos are now on a five-game losing streak to the Chiefs heading into #MNF. In that time, Denver has three wins in the playoffs while KC has one.The last Broncos home win over the Chiefs was Sept. 14, 2014, 24-17. That was the day Denver inducted Gene Mingo, Dan Reeves & Rick Upchurch in the ROF (my wife & I were there. It was awesome to witness). The last home loss was, of course, last season. The last Broncos road win over the Chiefs was Sept. 17, 2015, 31-24. The walk-off forced fumble returned for a touchdown by Bradley Roby was the first indication of what a special season that would be for Denver. Interestingly, that’s also the last time the Broncos beat KC. The last Broncos road loss was the 29-19 debacle last season. The Broncos longest winning streak is eight games that took place Oct. 24, 1976-Oct. 28, 1979. The longest winning streak for the Chiefs is 11 games that took place Nov. 1 Courtland Sutton Jersey , 1964-Nov. 27, 1969. The Broncos have shutout the Chiefs once in this series, 21-0 on Sept. 23, 1984, at Mile High Stadium. The Chiefs also have shutout Denver once in this series, 16-0 on Dec. 6, 1970, at Arrowhead Stadium. The most points (49) the Broncos have scored in this series is from a 49-29 win on Nov. 14, 2010, at Mile High. The most points (59) for the Chiefs is from a 59-7 win on Sept. 7, 1963, in KC. The largest Broncos win over the Chiefs (35 points) came in a 38-3 victory on Dec. 30, 2012, at Mile High. The largest Chiefs win over Denver (52) is from their 59-7 win in 1963.The most combined points for the Broncos and Chiefs (88) is from a 49-39 KC win on Nov. 1, 1964, in Kansas City. The fewest combined points (10), a 7-3 Chiefs win on Jan. 1, 2012 at Mile High. An interesting note about this series: The Chiefs franchise started 25-2 vs. the Broncos (1960-73). Since then, Denver has gone 52-35, yet it still trails in the all-time series. That’s remarkable, all thanks to the first 13 years. The Broncos and Chiefs have only met once in the playoffs, in the AFC Divisional Round on Jan. 4, 1998, in Kansas City. Denver, of course Royce Freeman Jersey White , won that game 14-10 to advance to the AFC Title Game in Pittsburgh. What Broncos Country should watch for vs the ChiefsThe Broncos are appearing on Monday Night Football for the 27th consecutive year, a streak that began in 1992. Denver’s 27-year streak is the longest active streak in the NFL and second longest in NFL history (Oakland Raiders 28). The Broncos 73 games on Monday Night Football ranks fourth in history. The Broncos are looking to hold their opponent to 300 or fewer new passing yards for the 38th consecutive game. That would be the longest streak by an NFL team since the Indianapolis Colts (52) from 2005-08.Broncos cornerback/retuner Adam Jones needs 68 punt return yards to become the 39th player in NFL history with 2,000 punt return yards. Broncos quarterback Case Keenum needs one passing touchdown to reach 50 for his career. Broncos linebacker Von Miller needs 1.5 sacks to tie Ken Harvey (89) for 47th on the NFL’s all-time sack list. Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders needs five catches to tie Brandon Marshall (327) for ninth place on the franchise’s all-time receptions list.
