loss to the Minnesota Vikings? Let’s go inside the locker room and find out.Pat Shurmur on whether he was encouraged by the Giants at least getting scoring opportunities against a good defense ...“No Odell Beckham Jerseys Stitched , I’m not encouraged or discouraged by that. When you get down there, you have to score. If we play these guys again, there’s a handful of things I might do differently. It’s not going to change my sleep pattern knowing that we played against a good defense. That’s a b—-shit mentality. We’re out there to win games, regardless of how good the team is. Nate Solder on his struggles ...The left tackle had a rough outing two weeks ago against Shaq Barrett of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and again Sunday as Everson Griffen had a sack and a quarterback hit and constantly harassed Daniel Jones.“You know what? I haven’t been playing this whole season very well. I felt like myself today at times, which I was happy about. So, I think that we have to build off of that and continue to improve.“ ... none of it has been good enough. It all falls on each individual’s shoulders, and I’m the first on that list. I have to run block better. I have to pass block better. I have to communicate better. I have to do all of the things that I need to do to be the best player that I can be.”Evan Engram on remaining positive ...‘We just have to stay the course. Like I said, there’s nothing to be discouraged about. There were plays that could have been made. There were a lot of 50-50 balls that we have to make. We make those plays, then it’s a different ballgame. So there’s nothing to really get discouraged about. We’re fine.“ ... There’s no worry. There’s no doubt. We put the work in. We believe in each other. There’s no doubt in our minds that we can go up there (New England) and compete with this team and go get a win.”Daniel Jones on the Minnesota defense ...“They are a good defense and they deserve credit. Like I said Color Rush Ryan Connelly Jersey , I think we created enough opportunities for ourselves to win. Maybe there wasn’t as much space at times, but I think that’s going to happen any game, and as long as you are creating opportunities, you need to be able to convert those. We didn’t do that, I didn’t do that, that’s why we lost.”Sterling Shepard on the fourth-down play he couldn’t make in the end zone ...“For me, I feel like I should come up with that. It’s a tough catch, but I feel like I can make tough catches. Myself personally, I feel like I need to come up with those.”Jabrill Peppers on the performance of the defense ...“They have a lot of guys out there who can be impact players. It just took them a while to get going Youth Ryan Connelly Jersey , but we gave those guys every inch of respect that you can. [Adam] Thielen and [Stefon] Diggs, you would be a fool not to acknowledge those guys. Dalvin [Cook] is one of the best running backs in the league, but those guys can still play a little bit, but we can’t make it easy on them. We have to challenge at the point of attack, challenge every catch and make open-field tackles. That’s really what it all comes down to; those guys are great players, they can play, too, but we need to catch tackles and eliminate he Y.A.C. [Yards-After-Catch] and I think we definitely would’ve come out with a different outcome. “We were just missing tackles and had bad eyes, man. I feel as though we didn’t play as clean of a game as we should have.” Former AAF player facing heavy competition to be among final 53" New York Giants NewsGiants’ 90-man roster: Defensive back Henre’ Toliver has an uphill battleNew Womens Ryan Connelly Jersey ,4commentsFormer AAF player facing heavy competition to be among final 53EDTShare this storyShare this on FacebookShare this on TwitterShareAll sharing optionsShareAll sharing options for:Giants’ 90-man roster: Defensive back Henre’ Toliver has an uphill battleTwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmailHenre’ Toliver with the Colts during 2018 training camp.Photo by Zach Bolinger/Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesWhen the bizarre and short-lived life of the AAF came to a conclusion, the New York Giants took advantage by signing former Salt Lake Stallions defensive back Henre’ Toliver. Let’s take a look at what Toliver might bring to the Giants as we continue profiling the 90 players the Giants will bring to training camp. The basicsHeight: 6-footWeight: 190Age: 22Position: Defensive backExperience: 1How he got hereToliver played 46 collegiate games at cornerback for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was not selected in the 2018 NFL Draft after testing poorly at the NFL Scouting Combine, but hooked on with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent. He had 10 tackles and a pass defensed in the preseason, but did not make the 53-man roster.Toliver landed in the AAF, where he played four games with the Stallions. In 125 coverage snaps, he was targeted 14 times and gave up eight receptions. His Pro Football Focus coverage grade was 71.7, for whatever that’s worth.More important to the Giants than any of his grades, might have been Toliver’s versatility. Toliver played 72 snaps in the box, 76 at free safety Authentic Ryan Connelly Jersey , 18 at cornerback and 43 at free safety. 2019 outlook Toliver would appear to have a difficult path to the Giants’ 53-man roster. At cornerback, the Giants have Janoris Jenkins and a plethora of young players in whom they are more heavily invested. Those include 2019 draft picks DeAndre Baker, Julian Love and Corey Ballentine, 2019 Supplemental Draft selection Sam Beal and second-year man Grant Haley. They also have veterans Antonio Hamilton and Tony Lippett, with Hamilton having been a key special teams player a season ago.At safety, the Giants have Jabrill Peppers, Antoine Bethea and Michael Thomas as likely roster locks. Sean Chandler and Kenny Ladler are alsolikely ahead of Toliver on the depth chart at that spot entering training camp.If he shows well enough athletically during training camp and the preseason, perhaps Toliver’s versatility makes him a practice squad candidate.
