Although no one has yet been ruled out for the game, the status of seven players is still up in the air
Steelers Week 2 Injury Report: Ben Roethlisberger questionable Cheap James Conner Jersey , David DeCastro and Joe Haden doubtful for game against Chiefs The Pittsburgh Steelers released their final injury report of the week on Friday afternoon andnot all the news it contained appears promising. Most notably, Ben Roethlisberger has officially been listed as questionable to face the Kansas City Chiefs, while David DeCastro, Joe Haden and Tyson Alualu have all been listed as doubtful. Despite being a full participant in training all week, Vance McDonald is still considered questionable for his first game of the year, as are Cameron Heyward and Artie Burns. Having missed practice on Wednesday because of a knee issue, Heyward was a full participant in training on Thursday and Friday and seems likely to play against the Chiefs. Burns is a list minute addition to the injury report after being limited on Friday and his inclusion in Week 2 is far from guaranteed thanks to a new toe injury.B.J. Finney will be the next man up if DeCastro cannot go and Cameron Sutton would get the opportunity to start if Haden is sidelined. However, the prospect of both of these players starting is nowhere near as concerning as the idea of Joshua Dobbs playing in his first real NFL game if Roethlisberger is held out. L.T. Walton would dress in Week 2 if Alualu sits, as will Coty Sensabaugh if either of the starting cornerbacks miss the game. It should be expected that McDonald will see some playing time against the Chiefs, even if the coaching staff limits his snaps. Meanwhile, Kansas City will be without linebacker Ben Niemann http://www.steelersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jordan-berry-jersey , with safety Eric Berry also doubtful for the match up.Steelers vs. Buccaneers: 3 Steelers who need to have a huge game to help secure a win The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are ‘En Fuego’. Led by journeyman quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Bucs are off to one of the best starts of this young 2018 football season. Fitzpatrick was leading the league in passing yardage(819) heading into Week 3, and has a 78% completion percentage. In back-to-back weeks, the Pittsburgh Steelers will have played the two hottest quarterbacks in the league. Needless to say, this will be another strong test for the Steelers, mainly the defense. Let’s take a look at three specific players who will need to have a huge game if our favorite team is going to be successful for the first time this season. Ben RoethlisbergerThis goes without saying, he could be on this list just about every week. Despite ending with solid numbers at the end of the Week-2 game vs. the Chiefs, something seems out of sync. The first couple of drives in the previous game were less than stellar. Pittsburgh will need better starts to games, and playing on the road against a hot football team puts this task at the feet of No. 7. T.J. WattTo piggyback off of a solid article by our very own Geoffrey Benedict, who highlighted some interesting stats about our second-year outside linebacker, I believe the arrow is pointing up for this young man, but it’s time to see some consistency. Tampa Bay is going to attempt to throw the ball with regularity on Monday night, and they’ll most likely look to throw it deep. The Pittsburgh secondary didn’t meet the challenge last week Alejandro Villanueva Jersey , and neither did the pass rush. I believe Watt will have the opportunity to get to the quarterback, but the question is, will he? Sean DavisOnce again Steelers’ fans are wondering what’s going on with the secondary. Opposing receivers and tight ends are running wide-open again. The talking point in the offseason was better communication. OK, they talked about it, but it looks as if that was the extent of it — talk. Tampa has two solid wide receivers in Mike Evans and a resurgent DeSean Jackson.Mike Evans - Seventeen catches with four going for 20+ yards, one of which went over 40 yardsDeSean Jackson - Nine catches with seven going for 20+ yards, two of which went over 40 yards. Also, Jackson has a 30-yard average per catch. The Steelers’ cornerbacks must have solid games, but Keith Butler might be wise to give some help over the top, and this falls into the lap of our last line of defense, Sean Davis....This is purely my take, but feel free to give us your opinion in the comment section below!Go Steelers!
