LOA ANGELES， Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's red star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame was smashed into pieces Wednesday by a man who dressed up as a construction worker.


The incident happened at around 5:45 am. According to cellphone videos shot by witness and released on Youtube， a man wearing a bright-orange construction vest set up construction cones and barriers around Trump' s star before smashing it into pieces with a sledgehammer and a pickax.


"When people are unhappy with one of our honourees， we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways than to vandalize a California state landmark，" Leron Gubler， Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president and CEO， said in a statement criticizing the vandalism.


"Our democracy is based on respect for the law. People can make a difference by voting and not destroying public property，" Gubler added.


The iconic gold inlaid red star was covered with cement fillings before it is repaired which process would take several days according to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.


This incident was under investigation by Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD)， but a man identified as Jamie Otis claimed responsibly for it earlier.


He told the Deadline Hollywood website that he intended to destroy the star and to auction the pieces off to raise money for the 11 women accusing Trump of groping them， which action the GOP presidential candidate has denied repeatedly.


It is not the first time that Trump' s star has been vandalized since he announced the presidential bid. It was spray-painted with a swastika and a "mute" icon before， and a miniature border wall was also built in a separated incident.


LAPD estimated that the latest vandalization would cost about 2，500 U.S. dollars to repair the star. The vandalism charge can lead to a three-year maximum jail time and a minimum 10，000 U.S. dollars fine， according to California law.


Trump yet responded to the destruction of his iconic star， which was dedicated to him in 2007 for his contributions in NBC's reality TV show "The Apprentice."

Timing her finish to perfection, the African 5,000m10 Herre Adidas NMD R2 Løbesko Blå Hvid ,000m champion and Kenya Defence Forces runner, nosed ahead of the field immediately after the bell to clinch the race in 33:43.03 to punch her ticket ahead of all challengers in the race for the IAAF World Championships in Moscow.


"The race was tough since there were good athletes competing and I'm so delighted to make the team. I want to see how I can perform against the best in the world and my aim is to try hard to be a world champion," the 29 year-old who ran her personal best at the distance on June 27 whilst finishing second in Ostrava in 30:29.23 said after the race.


Having raced clear of the leading four for the victory over the last 300m Herre Adidas NMD R2 Løbesko Sort Rød , the battle for second saw World Cross champion, Emily Chebet (33:43.03) out-kicked Japan based Team Kyudenko runner, Sally Kaptich Chepyego (33:45.81) to clinch the other automatic berth for Moscow.


However Dame Adidas NMD R2 Løbesko Hvid Lyserød , the two-time World Cross winner has not dipped under 31:45.00 A-Standard for the World Championships over the last two seasons that are considered for qualification meaning her Moscow dream was in tatters.


Having won the 10,000m race in Kobe this April in 32:00.02, Chepyego hang on to the leaders before surrendering second place at the last 200m but her place in the Kenyan senior team for the first time was assured courtesy of her 31:33.76 victory at the Japanese Corporate Championships last September.


"I have tried for so long to be in the Kenyan team and this time Dame Adidas NMD R1 Primeknit Shock Lyserød Core Sort Hvid , my prayers were answered. I'm filled with so much joy and being in Japan has helped me improve my running style and today, it helped in a race where we had many champions," the 2001 World Youth Champion in 3000m said.


"As a team Dame Adidas Originals NMD R1 Løbesko Vapour Lyserød Hvid Aluminum , we should work hard to return the title that was won two years ago. This is a different year and if we work together, it is possible," she added.


Caroline Cheptanui (33:52.34) finished just outside the podium ahead of 2009 World Champion Herre Originals Adidas NMD R1 Løbesko Core Rød Sort Hvid , Linet Masai (34:10.02) but the latter stood a good chance of being selected to Moscow owing to her 31:02.89 season's best in her sixth finish in Ostrava.


Like Chebet, Cheptanui has not managed to beat the Moscow qualifying time in the eligible period of qualification.




LJUBLJANA， July 4 (Xinhua) -- Slovenia has been encouraged to export its farm products to the Chinese market by visiting Chinese deputy agriculture minister Chen Xiaohua when he met with his corresponding Slovenian host here on Monday.


Slovenian deputy prime minister and agriculture minister Dejan Zidan held talks with Chen and his delegation to discuss further exports of fish， poultry， pork and honey to China， after the Chinese market opened for Slovenian dairy producers with granted permits weeks earlier.


The Chinese market is currently open for producers of foodstuffs which require no special permits or agreements for exportation， for example， hops. However， products of animal origin require a permit， something Zidan said both countries were working on to speed up the procedures.


Chen expressed his hope high-quality Chinese agricultural products would be exported to Slovenia， but said more analysis of the Slovenian market had to be made beforehand.


Slovenian dairies Ljubljanske mlekarne， Mlekarna Celeia， Pomurske mlekarne and Mlekarna Planika were issued approval to register as exporters by the Chinese authorities at the beginning of June， the visiting Chinese officials confirmed..
