MIAMI -- Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips was hit by a pitch on the left hand and X-rays revealed he sustained a hairline fracture.Phillips was hit by a pitch thrown by Jose Fernandez in the top of the seventh inning in the Reds 3-1 loss to the Miami Marlins on Friday night.Phillips initially stayed in the game before being taken out in the bottom of the eighth in favor of Jose Peraza.It wasnt good enough to stay in the game, Reds manager Bryan Price said.
