BUDAPEST, Hungary -- Fernando Alonso said the spin that effectively decided the battle for pole position at the Hungarian Grand Prix was borne out of frustration.Alonso spun at Turn 9 on his final attempt in Q3, leaving his car straddled across the exit kerb just as Lewis Hamilton came around the corner on his flying lap. There was a little bit of frustration as well in the previous couple of corners and I made a mistake on this frustration also, which was the spin, and also missing out on the lap.I think it was possible to improve a lot on the lap time that we set before, but the only thing is that probably everyone improved the lap time and I dont know if the final position could be better, the same or worse because everyone would improve, not only us.So Im a little bit sad because of this and disappointed with myself, but at the end of the day we have been seventh in every single session this weekend and hopefully tomorrow we can improve that position and score some points.Alonso is impressed by McLarens progress up the grid this weekend, but said the car is even more competitive in mixed conditions.Im very happy to have both McLarens in Q3 I think its the first time since 2014 and the Mercedes engine, so definitely a step forward this weekend.
