For most of his career Eric Weddle Jersey , the fourth quarter is where Russell Wilson has thrived. in the fourth quarter or overtime to win games take up nearly an entire page of Seattle's weekly game notes.Except this year, when the fourth-quarter mistakes by Wilson have overshadowed his late-game successes. And those mistakes are part of the reason Seattle is 4-5 and faces such a critical game on Thursday night against Green Bay in the quest to stay in the NFC playoff conversation.Seattle is 1-8 in its last nine games decided by one score or less. Over the past two seasons, Seattle is 5-11 in one-score games. They used to be the types of games in which Seattle thrived, with Wilson finding a way to score and pull out a victory in the closing minutes, or defensively making the necessary stops to stem any late rally by an opponent. But that page in Seattle's game notes detailing his 24 comebacks in the fourth quarter and overtime has just three entries over the past two seasons."There's two things there. It goes back to finishing right. If we can make one or two plays here or there across the board 鈥?offensive, defensive, special teams, whatever it may be 鈥?we can turn that around really easily. That's the great thing," Wilson said. "The second thing is ... we're in every game and every game is really close and every game we're right there to win the game. I'm looking forward to that turning around. We have great confidence in that and what we're going to do."There's no doubting that in stretches this season Wilson has played great. He's thrown for 14 touchdowns with just two interceptions over the past five games. And the success or failure of Seattle in the fourth quarter is not solely his responsibility. But there's also been a pattern of crucial late-game mistakes by Wilson that has been a contributing factor to each of Seattle's five losses.鈥?In a Week 1 loss at Denver, Seattle gained seven yards on its final three drives and Wilson threw an interception on a desperation throw on the final play of a 27-24 loss.鈥?In Week 2 at Chicago, Wilson threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown with the Seahawks trailing 17-10, and on Seattle's next drive fumbled while being sacked. Seattle lost 24-17鈥?In Week 5 against the Rams http://www.theramslockerroom.com/authentic-cooper-kupp-jersey , Wilson missed on his final two passes with Seattle closing in on field goal range while down by two points with less than 4 minutes left. Seattle punted and never got the ball back in a 33-31 loss.鈥?In Week 9, Wilson threw his second fourth-quarter interception that was returned for a touchdown when Desmond King stepped in front of a pass and the pick-six ended up being the deciding points in the Chargers' 25-17 win.鈥?And last week, Wilson was stripped by Dante Fowler midway through the fourth quarter deep in Seattle's end. Brandin Cooks' TD run on the next play ended up being the deciding points in the Rams' 36-31 win.The only one-score game the Seahawks have won this season was arguably one of its uglier performances when Sebastian Janikowski kicked a 52-yard field goal on the final play to beat Arizona in Week 4. And while several of those games have seen Wilson rebound from his mistakes to give Seattle a chance in the closing seconds, the final results are not what the Seahawks have come to expect."It's finishing at the right time, making the right play. We've been so good at those games for such a long time that the fact that it's not happening is a little bit unusual," Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. "I'm disappointed because we've been able to always feel like we're going to win those games and do it. We still have the same mentality about it and attitude about it, but we've got to show it. We've got to get those finishes done."NOTES: LB K.J. Wright (knee) was the only player not to participate in practice on Tuesday. Wright's knee caused him to leave Sunday's loss to the Rams early. ... G D.J. Fluker (calf) and RB Chris Carson (hip) were full participants, strengthening Seattle's belief the pair will play after missing last week's game. Less than three months before the 2019 college football season kicks off..."Coming out of the 2019 NFL Draft, we’ve already had a decent amount of content setting things up for the 2020 NFL Draft. For the Los Angeles Rams, it’s going to be a relatively new experience recently. The Rams haven’t held and/or exercised a first-round pick since taking QB Jared Goff #1 overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. As of right now, the Rams still hold their natural picks in every round save for the fifth thanks to the trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars for EDGE Dante Fowler, Jr. So for perhaps the first time since the Goff deal Womens Tyler Higbee Jersey , it’s worth legitimately paying attention to how things shake out heading toward the first round of the 2020 draft. It’s with that in mind that we can take a look at ESPN’s Mel Kiper, Jr.’s early 2020 big board (ESPN+ subscription required).Unlike most mocks at this point, Kiper doesn’t have Alabama Crimson Tide QB Tua Tagovailoa at the top. And he’s right to. He still has him a bit high for me at #4, but Tua’s a fantastic prospect nonetheless. I’d have him in the teens right now, so I’m hardly a detractor. I just think people are overlooking some flaws in his game because he has EVERYTHING around him. And for Rams fans who have waded through the siren’s wails of dropping the “system quarterback” moniker on Goff, they should easily be able to identify the support Tua has around him and why that might help paper over his skill set issues. Speaking of, Kiper has Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy atop his big board with WR Henry Ruggs III at #22. Alabama just saw their 2018 starting running back, Josh Jacobs, become the first RB drafted in the 2019 draft 13 picks after their starting left tackle, Jonah Williams, got drafted. Suffice to say, Tagovailoa had an incredibly strong level of talent around him in 2018.One other reason I’m not big on pushing the idea of Tua going first overall? There are plenty of other very good quarterback prospects at this point. While Kiper has Tua at 4 Michael Brockers Jersey , he slots Oregon Ducks QB Justin Herbert at 10 and Georgia Bulldogs QB Jake Fromm at 18. Throw in Washington Huskies QB Jacob Eason and Stanford Cardinal QB K.J. Costello, and there are just tons of options to tempt at the top of the draft. Bear in mind that a year ago, I’m not sure there was a single analyst picking Oklahoma Sooners QB Kyler Murray to win the Heisman Trophy and go #1 overall.A couple of prospects I like for the Rams in Kiper’s board.LSU Tigers S Grant Delpit (#2)I love him. He’s also #2 overall which makes sense. Being good and drafting late is hard on the soul.Stanford OT Walker Little (#7)/Georgia OT Andrew Thomas (#9)/Iowa Hawkeyes OT Tristan Wirfs (#17)/Washington OT Trey Adams (#24)Three of these teams have their quarterbacks highly thought of. Amazing how protection helps boost quarterback assessments...But with Rams LT Andrew Whitworth heading into his final NFL season, the Rams are likely to explore options in the 2020 draft as a potential successor. Yes, the 2020 free agency period could play in here as well. Plenty of other left tackle prospects as well like Notre Dame Fighting Irish OL Liam Eichenberg, Ohio State Buckeyes OL Thayer Munford and Louisville Cardinals LT Mekhi Becton. And I’ll put it out there as an early feeler, but Wisconsin Badgers C Tyler Biadasz looks the part of the late-first OL prospect that has populated the last couple of years. That would certainly put him in the Rams’ sightlines at least this early on.In a little more than three months, Florida and Miami will face off at Camping World Stadium. The kickoff of that game will serve to kick off our path to the 2020 draft.Soon.
